PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE AND VULNERABLE ADULTS IN THE WORK PLACE FROM HARM OR ABUSE WHICH MAY BE IN THE FORM OF EXPLOITATION EITHER PHYSICAL, SEXUAL, EMOTIONAL OR NEGLECT.

TOT training on SAFEGUARDING POLICY for REGIONAL FORA STAFF conducted by CARITAS AND CRS at Delhi in the Month of January 2023.

What Is Safeguarding & Why Is It Important?

  • Sadly, abuse is prevalent in society and often it is the most vulnerable people that are commonly victims of abuse
  • It is a basic human right for a person to live in a safe environment away from harm or abuse and they should, in no circumstances, be exploited
  • Therefore, safeguarding procedures are a pivotal component to ensuring these individuals are protected
  • Hence, we have scheduled our dates to visit all DSSS to create awareness in implementing this policy at their DSSS institutions. Like schools, colleges, hospitals, social service centers etc
